List of WP1 workshops during the second period

Villefranche-sur-mer, 3/4-Oct-07: WP1.1 meeting

The meeting first discussed the April 2007 field campaign, with presentations from all WP1.1 partners and others. Plans for the 2008 campaign were then initiated and a strategy for deploying the oceanographic moorings and performing the ice physics measurements was introduced. Partners were then tasked with assessing the various logisitical challenges before a follow-up meeting just prior to the General Assembly.

Oslo 26-Nov-07: WP1 workshop

The GA workshop gave partners in other WP1 tasks the opportunity to present their work in 2007. The meeting then moved on to refine the logistical planning for the 2008 field season, following liaison after the Villefranche meeting. A two-stage campaign was envisaged, with oceanographic moorings being deployed from Eureka station (Ellesmere Island) in mid-April, followed by a short campaign staged from Alert in late April/May. This was adopted by all present.
